How our program is organized
Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP)
Our Import Compliance Program
GarlicPuree.com maintains a Foreign Supplier Verification Program for the food products we import into the United States.
Our FSVP system is designed to document supplier qualification, product evaluation, applicable food-safety controls, import records, corrective actions, and ongoing program review in accordance with the requirements applicable to our business under 21 CFR Part 1, Subpart L.
GarlicPuree.com operates as the U.S. FSVP importer for applicable shipments and maintains supporting compliance records for FDA review when required.
Program Overview
Our FSVP program is organized around several core elements:
Product & Program Scope
Each imported product is identified and documented with information relevant to its intended use, storage, specifications, manufacturing source, and applicable food-safety requirements.
Supplier Qualification
Foreign suppliers are evaluated before approval and monitored through an organized supplier qualification process.
Supporting records may include, as applicable:
- Food-safety certifications
- Facility and supplier documentation
- Product specifications
- Certificates of Analysis
- Third-party audit information
- Regulatory documentation
- Supplier performance records
- Corrective-action records
Detailed supplier records are maintained as controlled company documents and are not publicly accessible.
Food-Safety Evaluation
GarlicPuree.com evaluates food-safety information relevant to the imported product and supplier.
Supporting hazard-analysis and verification documentation is maintained within the controlled FSVP record system.
Import & Entry Records
Applicable import and FSVP entry records are maintained for traceability and regulatory review.
These records may include shipment, lot, supplier, product, and import-entry information.
For security and commercial confidentiality, detailed entry records are not publicly available.
Corrective Actions
When information indicates that a supplier, product, shipment, or verification activity may not meet established requirements, GarlicPuree.com maintains documented procedures for investigation, corrective action, supplier follow-up, and disposition as appropriate.
Program Review
The FSVP system is periodically reviewed and updated when necessary to reflect changes in suppliers, products, specifications, food-safety information, regulatory requirements, or other relevant circumstances.
Very Small Importer Status
GarlicPuree.com has determined that it qualifies for the modified FSVP requirements applicable to a Very Small Importer, based on the criteria applicable to its operations.
Supporting eligibility documentation is maintained as part of the company’s controlled FSVP records.
Eligibility records and supporting financial documentation are not published publicly but may be provided to FDA when required.
FSVP Qualified Individual
GarlicPuree.com’s FSVP activities are performed or overseen by a qualified individual with the education, training, and/or experience necessary to carry out the applicable functions of the program.
The FSVP Qualified Individual is responsible for activities including, as applicable:
- Reviewing supplier information
- Maintaining supplier qualification records
- Reviewing product and food-safety documentation
- Evaluating verification information
- Reviewing corrective actions
- Maintaining FSVP records
- Reviewing and updating the program
Supporting qualification and training documentation is maintained internally.

Certain FSVP records are intentionally restricted because they contain confidential commercial, supplier, shipment, regulatory, or food-safety information.
